Nashville/LA indie-rockers Smallpools are back in action, and teamed up with fellow Nashville native morgxn for their new single “slowdown”.
Make no mistake, this song is anything but slow. Packed with great vibes, the song serves as a reminder that while the world may seem overwhelming, sometimes we need to take a step back… and there’s nothing wrong with doing just that!
morgxn shares, “Slowdown is an anthem of taking a break. Resetting the pallet and knowing that the world will be there when you’re ready to take the next step..“
Smallpools adds, “The song deals with the struggle we all face in today’s fast paced society where we feel pressure to be constantly on the go, pushing for more, needing more, making more, but we lose sight of the simple things in life that bring us joy. This song urges us all to take a step back, take a deep breath and slowdown, if just for a moment”
“slowdown” was written and recorded this past December in Nashville, after Smallpools guitarist Michael Kamerman and morgxn met on the entertainment industry social network, Raya. The song came together in just a few days at Kamerman’s home studio.
