What a huge week for music releases! It’s always exciting when your favorite artists drop new music, especially when you haven’t heard from them in a while. You definitely know where I’m going with this! The Jonas Brothers have officially returned, and dropped a new single. We’re basking in the sounds of the new albums from Solange, 2 Chainz, Hozier, Weezer and many more. TGIF!
Check out my picks from this week’s new music Friday below.
Jonas Brothers – Sucker
It’s fair to say that the Jonas Brothers are considered music royalty to my generation. I, along with many others, grew up enjoying everything that they had to offer. After a six year hiatus, it is a joy to be able to say that the Jonas Brothers are back together in action!
We’ve all grown up, and so has their music. “Sucker” is an upbeat song featuring catchy guitar riffs that will have you wishing the summer could hurry up and get here sooner! Seriously, I hope this song goes hard all summer long.
But don’t worry, this is only the first of many more tracks to come from Kevin, Joe, and Nick!

Solange – When I Get Home
“SHE DID THAT!” is a very appropriate reaction when listening to Solange’s latest LP, When I Get Home. The album features 19 dreamy R&B tracks, and it’s definitely one of those albums that can and should be played from start to finish.
2 Chainz – Rap Or Go To The League
2 CHAINZZZZZZZ!
The rapper’s newest album Rap Or Go To The League features 14 ambitious tracks, each with different vibes. My personal standout tracks include “Threat 2 Society”, “NCAA”, and “Rule The World”, featuring Ariana Grande.
Bea Miller feat. 6LACK – it’s not u it’s me
Bea Miller is known for her unapologetic lyrics. In her latest single “it’s not u it’s me” featuring 6LACK, the 20 year-old singer reminds us that it’s important to prioritize ourselves, especially in relationships. It’s a bop!
