Hi! I’m Chels, aka PlNKWIFI, PLNKWIFI, Plnk Wifi, Pink WiFi, Plink… pink… all of the above, tbh. Just please, don’t call me “pee pee.”

Back in 2014, I got my hands on my very first DSLR camera. Not long after, I started this blog as a way to show off some of the pictures I had taken at different events and influencer meetups. I also started utilizing this platform as a means of giving friends accurate information about upcoming concerts, organized all in one place. Now eight years in, this blog serves as my space to talk about absolutely anything and everything I want the world to know about… especially new music! As you lurk throughout the site, you’ll find plenty of interviews with artists who are close to my heart, concert coverage, cute gifs, and so much more. Enjoy! ♡

Educational Background: In school for Advertising and Public Relations. I also earned a certificate in Hospitality Management in 2020!

Work Background: Have you ever gone to an event and seen a cool little (or sometimes big) interactive area themed around a certain brand, where there’s people giving out free stuff and encouraging you to take pictures there? That would be called a brand activation, and the people who are eager to chat it up with you at the activation are called brand ambassadors.

I am one of those people! I’ve gotten to represent brands such as Continental Tires, Red Bull, SYFY, Gilead Sciences, Kellogg’s, McDonald’s, T-Mobile, and more!

Speaking of crowds, I also provide event staff assistance at various venues and events throughout Southern California. Whether I’m ticket taking, ushering, or helping out with VIP concierge, I strive to help create a unique and unforgettable experience for fellow fans! Harry Styles’ Love On Tour 2022, EDC Las Vegas 2019, The Rolling Stones’ No Filter Tour 2021 in Los Angeles, SuperM’s We Are The Future Tour in San Diego, and BTS’ Permission To Dance On Stage: LA are just a handful of my absolute favorite concerts/festivals I’ve worked.

Okay, enough of that LinkedIn lite stuff. Now you’re probably wondering, WHOOOOOO in the right mind names themselves PLNKWIFI? How the heck do I pronounce that name? But seriously, who names their site that? This chic, and allow me to explain!

Back in 2014, I really wanted a new username on Twitter. The name “pinkwifi” sounded so cute, but it was taken! When I say I was furious, I really mean it. I wanted that name so badly, but the only way it was going to work out was to spell it with all caps, and replace the “i” in pink with a lowercase L. It still looks like it’s “pinkwifi” if you write it like that, but it’s not actually spelt like that. You know what I mean?

Many people would (and still do) get confused. It’s okay! I think most people have made that mistake at least once… and once they realized it, they took a huge L… so now the spelling has a double meaning. I decided to change my Instagram handle to “plnkwifi” so everything could be cohesive. Then I started this blog, and there really was no going back. I was stuck with it, and the name and spelling became my brand. In a way, I guess I took an L myself. But you know what? Sometimes it’s okay to take L’s. After all, you can’t spell FABULOUS without an L!
