Diandra and I met Ally Brooke on Friday night at Channel 933’s Summer Kickoff Concert and it… was… amazing to say the least!
We’re used to meet and greets being rushed, so we don’t always have much to say to the artists we get to meet. This time it was totally different!
We were in line for the m&g, and I was lowkey breaking my head trying to figure out who would be shorter. Would it be Didi, or would it be Ally? Our turn was approaching, and we saw a member of Ally’s team introducing himself to the other guests. When it was our turn, he introduced himself to us. Then he turned around and introduced us to Ally by name! I couldn’t believe it. Literally no one has ever done that at any meet and greet we’ve ever been to. That was a great way to make the experience more personal!
Ally hugged both of us, then started talking to Didi about her purple hair. I was observing both of them, trying to figure out who was taller. Ally was wearing heels, but I came to the conclusion that without the heels she’d be shorter than Didi.
Ally’s dad came into the room, and I was surprised because I hadn’t seen him since Fifth Harmony’s “Harmonize America” tour back in 2013! When I mentioned it to Ally, she was surprised that I used to be a huge Harmonizer.
But, you see,
That was literally the day Didi and I first met. Full circle, huh?
The photographer took our pictures, and then I handed Ally my business card. She asked me what do I do, and I told her I spill tea. I mean, I’m not wrong… right? 😉 **ALLY, IF YOU EVER READ THIS POST, WE LOVE YOU OVER HERE!!**
And then we said our goodbyes and we were shook for the rest of the night!
This was by far one of our favorite meet and greet experiences we’ve ever had. Thank you so much to Channel 933, SDCCU, and Atlantic Records for such a great time!
