I hope your ears are ready because this is gonna be good. Really really good. REEEEEAAALLLY good.

Johan Lenox is a singer, classical composer, string arranger, and producer. He was born in Boston and attended Yale. After graduation, Johan relocated to Los Angeles and composed Yeethoven, a production that combined the works of Beethoven and Kanye West. Johan then found himself in the studio with rap royalty such as Mike Dean, No I.D., and has contributed to tracks from artists like Travis Scott, Nas, Teyana Taylor, Alessia Cara, Lil Nas X, and more.
Dang.
Johan’s new EP everybody’s cool but me has arrived, and it builds on his lifelong obsession of fusing classical musical and hip-hop. It also reflects the discontent and disillusionment of a generation existing outside the boundaries.
On the EP, Johan says,
“I’m exploring what it’s like to be young in a world where there’s a sense the coming future isn’t great. We’re trapped in a cycle of pointless fun as an excuse to avoid taking responsibility for our lives or facing the darker aspects of the world. In order to describe this, I try to make the music out of orchestra sounds…it’s about this suburban malaise, directionless-ness, and clinging to youth.”
