LA songwriter, producer, and activist ANIIML has just released her 3rd studio album, OH AWE!
Having experienced one of the greatest losses of her life, singer Lila Rose – otherwise known as ANIIML – experienced the depth of the beauty of death, mourning, grief and the mysteries that life provides for us. “I was literally knocked out of my shit,” she explains. “I was in a very deep depression for several months – questioning everything. From my career, to my dating life, my upbringing, to my every day routines: everything was in question. When I lost one of the closest people to me, the grief made it absolutely impossible to sit in my shit. It shook me free into a new level of joy, bliss, and essentially, a level of awakening.”
OH AWE is a collection of several of the powerful moments over the last years, which essentially culminate as ANIIML peers into death, and the wonders of how something so hard can give so much life, in the end.
That being said, OH AWE is an audible journey. It’s quirky, unique, and packed with emotion.
