Olive Louise Shares Powerful New Single ‘Fool’

Olive Louise is a singer, songwriter, and composer from New York. Her new single “Fool” is out today, and is about embracing your most authentic self and not feeling guilty about enjoying your life.

Louise grew up on the estate that inspired F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel The Great Gatsby in Kings Point, New York. Her soundtrack was filled with classical and jazz legends, as well as the talents of her mother, who was the lead pianist of the Long Island Philharmonic orchestra.

Sadly, her parents passed before her teenage years began to unfold. Louise continuously worked to rise above and refused to let her tragedies take the front seat.

“Fool” is a testimony of Louise’s own struggles, having been written from a dark time in her life when she was drowning in the negative opinions of others telling her what to do and how to live her life. She confides, “I was at a really low point in my life, I had gained weight, was too nervous to run into people I knew for fear of judgment, and felt like some of the people I had been there for the most didn’t want the best for me. It was hard to trust myself and my judgement”. The track is a way for Louise to let go of all the negativity placed upon her.

She shares, “I hope it inspires people to embrace the beauty in what makes them different and offers them new perspective. I believe that when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change”.
