You know that feeling when you discover a new artist and you feel like the universe just gave you one of the best gifts you could possibly ask for (besides meeting a 1D member or winning the lottery)? Like the music is just DOING something for ya?

Well, that’s definitely how I felt when I checked out Japan, Man’s new single “The Law”!

Japan Man, is the musical project of Leaticia Acra – a 15-year-old artist from Beirut, Lebanon. Her music is very funky, bright, and smooth. “The Law” is about the intoxicating pressure of living under other people’s judgement.

She explains, “As people try to find their way through life, understand their purpose, or unlock a healthy mental state, they are being scrutinised by others. Living under people’s judgment can make you think your way of finding yourself is wrong, leading you to assume that your personal expansion is criminal and shameful.”

Stream “The Law” below, and follow Japan, Man on Instagram @japan.man_!
