MARG is an LA-based singer/songwriter with a breezy, chill new single out today called “My City”! You’ll be vibing when you hear this one.
“My City” is a song focusing on a woman’s strength and independence, while showing it’s okay to focus on one’s self. This is MARG’s third single since releasing her debut album The Voices.
MARG explains, “‘My City’ is a song about a casual summer fling. Obviously, if you listen to the lyrics, you can tell the other side is a bit attached, and I’m emotionally unavailable. I think it’s a good singles’ anthem. I’m currently in a place in my life where I am completely focusing on myself because I recently had to pull myself from a dark time, and I’m just fine being alone!”
MARG moved to the US at a young age, and quickly fell in love with the arts. She played violin in her community orchestra, while finding an interest in classical piano. When she was 13, she began to write her own dark/moody lyrics – influenced by Nirvana, Lana Del Rey, Lorde, and many more. MARG found herself moving quite often, relocating to different states and countries. She eventually ended up in LA. Keep an ear out for MARG’s new album The World Keeps On Moving, set for release on November 22!
