Finn Matthews is a talented 19 year old artist with a chill, laid back sound. His new single “Sunny Daze” and music video are out today!
When Finn was 16, he moved from New Jersey to Los Angeles to work with songwriter/artist Elijah Blake. In the past, Blake had written for artists such as Rihanna, Usher, and Rick Ross.
Finn then received a development deal from Live Nation and went on to release his first single “Julia”, as well as an accompanying music video – which has raked in over 1.2 million views!
Not only has Finn been working hard as a pop vocalist, but he also plays the guitar, writes, and produces.
Here’s what Finn had to say about “Sunny Daze”:
“This song is about an experience that I think a lot of people who move away from their families can relate to. In my case, it was LA. When you first get here, everything has this shiny veneer to it. It’s exciting and the possibilities seem endless. But after awhile the reality comes into focus and you have to decide who and what is important to you. It’s all a part of growing up that I wanted to capture.”
