How long have we been waiting for Harry Styles’ new album? A lifetime, but Fine Line is officially out now! I’m currently listening to the album (as you should be too) and enjoying every second of it.
It’s safe to say that the bar was set pretty high for Harry’s sophomore album, especially when he released “Lights Up” and it sounded nothing like anything we heard on HS1. We knew this album was going to be an experience, and we were surely ready for it.
Harry gave us a little bit of everything on this album, and there truly is a song for every mood. Do you want your feels to hit you like a baseball made out of steel? “Falling” exists for that. Are you in a really giddy mood? Try “Sunflower, Vol. 6”.
My favorite thing about Fine Line is the fact that the classic rock/folk influences are still there. As soon as the track listing for the album came out and “Fine Line” was the only song listed under side d, I automatically figured Harry was about to pull a Pink Floyd and drop an insanely long song… and I was HERE for it.
In reality, 6:18 isn’t THAT long, but it’s not something we see that often in the pop world these days. But it’s certainly eye popping, and there’s no denying this boy loves his vintage… everything. To me, “Canyon Moon” screams Stephen Stills, and a little Paul McCartney too.
Harry, you’re doing amazing sweetie. Keep it up.
