Singer/songwriter Kat Hamilton released her brand new single today called “Medicine Line”!

Kat Hamilton grew up in the Bay Area, and has constantly reinvented herself. She has experienced living in different parts of the country, and has created music in a wide array of genres. In 2017, Hamilton concluded her five-year run as the frontwoman of the band Manic Pixi, and shifted her focus towards her upcoming solo album, Recovery Songs.
Recovery Songs narrates resilience and touches on Hamilton’s real life experiences of her struggle with addiction and overcoming trauma. She reveals, “The music was inspired by being knocked down and getting back up. Going to the darkest places in yourself and in life and managing to make it through. I went through hell and found a way to be okay, but I like to think that this work can resonate with people who aren’t in the recovery process. Anyone who’s ever struggled could relate to this music”.
Hamilton hopes that her music brings comfort to those in need and helps them get through their pain when no one else can. Recovery Songs will be out later this year, and “Medicine Line” is a taste of the powerful tracks we’ll be able to hear on the album!
