Fransancisco are an LA-based indie-folk duo who just released their debut single “Gold”!

Fransancisco is a brand new project from brothers Isaac & Thorald Koren. The two have been widely celebrated for their work in The Kin and BRÅVES, and have raked in tons of accolades over the years. The project was brought to life when NYC music pioneer Ken Rockwood asked the brothers if they’d ever consider making an acoustic album. Together, the three spent a year exploring what Fransancisco’s new sound could be.

“Gold” is a serenade to those with a broken heart, and was penned with close friends Mitchy Collins (from lovelytheband) and Justin Stanley. Fransancisco’s debut album I Went to the Sea to Be Free is due later this year, and is dedicated to the loving memory of their grandmother they never met. On Mother’s Day in 1974, she flew her plane over the Southern Ocean, and was never seen again.

I am very excited to hear what Fransancisco have to offer next! “Gold” feels so warm and intimate, almost as if the music is hugging me. Check it out below, and keep up with Fransancisco on Instagram @fransanciscoofficial!
