It’s only a matter of time before ren takes over the world, and I can’t wait!
The 17-year-old singer just dropped an irresistible new single called “i drive me mad”, along with a music video that truly encompasses the emotions of the song.
Anxiety can be a beast, and completely suffocating at times. Sometimes we just need someone to understand what we’re going through when we experience these feelings. ren channeled her experiences with anxiety and panic into this song, which is electrifying and relatable.
Speaking on writing the song, ren says, “I drive me mad is a really important song to me because it’s really a look inside my brain and the anxiety and panic I deal with nearly everyday. I wrote this song after having a really bad panic attack and it made it so honest and easy to write. It’s the first song I’m putting out that I feel like has a really important relatable message and I’m super excited about this one!”
In 2019, ren released her debut single “waves”, which was followed by “mind games”. Her music has received millions of streams worldwide, and ren has been featured on lists such as Apple Music’s Artist of the Week in May 2019 and Soundcloud’s Artist to Watch in August 2019!
“i drive me mad” will be a part of ren’s forthcoming EP, teenage angst, out on March 13 via Interscope. There’s so many exciting things in store for ren this year, so you’ll definitely want to keep her on your radar.
