This has been a very interesting week. There’s so many loaded emotions in the atmosphere right now, and everything just feels gloomy. There’s no telling what tomorrow will bring, and we can only hope for the best.
Fortunately, we have music to help us get through this together! Niall Horan just dropped his sophomore album Heartbreak Weather. It’s safe to say that Niall definitely wasn’t messing around with this one!
Heartbreak Weather kicks off with its title track – bright, synthy, and easy to listen to. Then, “Black And White” offers a jumpier, upbeat pop/rock feel. I can’t help but be reminded about 1D’s sound with many of these tracks.
Hey, what can I say? I really miss them.
Sonically, Heartbreak Weather feels like a departure from Niall’s previous album Flicker. While Niall still sticks to his cozy, soft pop/rock feel with a handful of the tracks, the overall mood of the album feels much more vibrant. I feel like if Flicker and FOUR had a baby, this would be it.
Heartbreak Weather is out now via Neon Haze Music and Capitol Records. Listen below, and I hope you enjoy!
