How has everyone’s quarantine been going? Are you all social distancing like you’re supposed to be?
During this time off, I’ve been binge watching a ton of my favorite childhood shows while trying to prepare cool stuff you’ll see on here soon.
I’ve been watching quite a bit of Drake and Josh, and I’m sure many of you may be wondering what Drake Bell is up to these days. Well, he recently discovered a long lost treasure – his own music!
In 2006, Drake Bell released his debut album It’s Only Time. He began to work on a follow up to the album, but things didn’t go quite as planned.
“When I started working on the album, all I had were skeletons of songs…then the harddrive was lost. I thought the songs would never be heard again. Fans actually started to take snippets of the teasers I released at the time and formed them into their own songs with their own titles,” he explained.
Years later, the harddrive was found in a damaged box. Miraculously, the harddrive was able to be restored, and all of the original recordings were safe! Drake Bell kept the original tracks, added some background vocals, drums, and horns.
It’s been a little over a decade, and here we are now! The album has conveniently been titled The Lost Album, and is like a 2000’s time capsule. It’s so much fun to listen to, and I hope you turn this one up a little louder!
