There’s certain things in today’s society that have the ability to make us want to go SMH! For example, getting dirty looks when you’re at a show because of what you’re wearing. Being made to feel like an outcast because you’re not willing to partake in a (destructive) behavior that others around you are doing. I can go on and on, but you know that feeling, right?
Sometimes all you can do is shrug it off and keep doing you, and OSTON’s brand new single “Shrug” is all about that!
“Shrug” is OSTON’s first single of 2020, and follows last year’s release of her debut EP Sitting at The Kids Table.
“In the last year, I’ve learned that it’s more fun being a dork than trying to fit in,” OSTON explains. “Everyone is insecure! The best thing you can do is learn to shrug it off when people judge you instead of letting it eat you alive ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.”
During the weeks leading up to the release of “Shrug”, OSTON shared a series of fun homemade videos via IGTV that featured her shrugging over different things she has seen and experienced while in lockdown.
“Shrug” is our first taste of OSTON’s debut album Am I Talking Too Much? – out later this year! Listen to “Shrug” below, and keep up with OSTON on Instagram @ostonmusic.
