I don’t know about you, but I could reeeeeally use a vacation. Even though I can’t really go anywhere thanks to (you know what), Disco Shrine is ready to take our minds on a vacation with her catchy new single “Wanna Get Away”.
Wanna Get Away is the follow up single to Disco Shrine’s last release, Turn on the Lights, which was
“Wanna Get Away” is the follow up to Disco Shrine’s previous single “Turn on the Lights”, and was inspired by the feeling of needing to escape our problems and just go back to the way things used to be.
“Having to social distance and not knowing what lies ahead is a scary reality for most of us right now,” Disco Shrine shared. “Wanna Get Away is about using escapism as a way to cope with everything happening in the world right now. It’s about not taking for granted the things we used to do like going out with friends and wishing we could do the things we always said we would like traveling.”
Disco Shrine, aka Persian Barbie, is an LA-based singer, songwriter, DJ, event curator, and all around badass! In 2018, she released her debut single “Up In The Air”, through French label Kitsune in partnership with the NBA. More bops are on the way!
