Anna Dellaria is an LA-based singer, songwriter, and performer who’s letting the world know she’s fierce and fearless with her new single “Cut You Loose”.
Dellaria is known for turning personal experiences that may seem dark into bright and bold pop songs! Her music has been featured on TV Land’s Younger, HBO, Nickelodeon, and more, and has received wide critical acclaim.
On creating “Cut You Loose”, Dellaria says, “I was in the studio with the producer, Zack Djurich (Kanye West, Teyana Taylor), and he just started playing this bouncy guitar line. I immediately went to the mic and recorded this rhythmic verse drenched in attitude. At its core, the song essentially calls out an ex who never believed you’d really leave, and now just keeps waiting for you to come back, but won’t admit it. It’s liberating as hell to yell ‘I’m gonna say goodbye’ – I highly recommend it.”
Dellaria will be donating 100% of streaming profits from the first month of release to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
She shared, “In light of the recent atrocities that unfortunately occur every day within the black community, I attempted to pull the release of ‘Cut You Loose’ over the weekend. However, given that it was uploaded in April I was soon informed that it was too late. The promotional articles and content that was lined up were pulled and instead 100% of streaming profits from the first month of ‘Cut You Loose’ will be donated to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. The fund is dedicated to providing equal access to quality education, ensuring proper voting rights/registration, and policy reform in the justice system.”
The NAACP Legal and Education Fund has been fighting for racial justice since 1940. To learn about everything they do and to make a direct donation, visit naacpldf.org/about-us/.
