Bay Area synth-pop duo Meet Me In Orbit are giving us a taste of nostalgia with their new single “Letters”!

Meet Me in Orbit was formed in 2014, when roommates Jared Brannan and Brandon Bews began to release their self-produced music via Soundcloud. Two singles in, the duo caught the attention of NY-based indie label Sky Council Recordings, and released their debut EP, Traveller, in 2015.
“Letters” gets personal, and is about some of the things you wish you could tell your younger self. “We wrote this song at the end of a hard year, where we were both balancing 9 to 5 jobs with writing, managing, and growing Meet Me in Orbit on our own,” the duo explains. “‘Letters’ is an intimate and honest song, spilling over with glossy synths and textures–it’s also one of our favorites.”
Jared and Brandon will be donating all profits from the release of “Letters” to Campaign Zero!
“If Meet Me in Orbit is to have any voice in this moment, we believe that voice should be used in service of those that need, and deserve it most,” they shared. “To that end, we’ll be donating every dollar we may make from this release to Campaign Zero to help advance the causes of social justice, racial equality, police accountability, and the important truth that black lives matter.”
