Last year, Germano released his debut single “Lost Crowd”. Today he’s back with his new single “Cool”, and a music video for the song that he directed all by himself!
“Cool” reflects a mentality of basically pretending things are okay when they really aren’t.
“You might not realize at first that the lyrics are about escapism and depressive self-destructive behavior because theyʼre disguised as pop melodies,” he explains. “And the same concept applies to the music video where my friends and I are (literally) killing each other while Iʼm wearing some dope outfits, so itʼs cool.”
Germano learned how to play the piano by ear when he was only 6 years old. When he was a teen, he moved to California and began posting covers of hit songs online. On top of that, Germano is an actor and has also developed an eye for filmmaking. The music video for “Cool” was directed all by himself!
“Cool”, among many more singles, will be featured on his debut EP The Lost Crowd. Keep an eye out for it this summer.
Germano is also committed to helping make a change. He says, “I’d like to shoutout two of the many organizations dedicated to ending homelessness in Los Angeles. Black people make up 8% of the L.A. County population but they make up 42% of the homeless population: The Downtown Women’s Center (DWC) downtownwomenscenter.org Union Rescue Mission urm.org“
