Kenyan-Norwegian singer, songwriter, producer, and visual artist Lil Halima is about to get us all dancing with her new single “Friends”!

Lil Halima released her debut EP “love songs for bad lovers” in October 2018, and since then she has gotten tons of praise from notable tastemakers. At only 21 years old, she has been nominated for two Norwegian Grammy’s and the Nordic Music Prize. Not only does Lil Halima sing and write, but she also plays the piano, violin, produces, and has her hand in visual arts as well.
“Friends” was written by herself and Canto, who produced the song too!
“This song is very special to me. It represents the moments of joy, where I am comfortable around people and just feel like dancing,” says Lil Halima. “When I meet someone I vibe with, and we have fun together. I don’t like going out, and I don’t like big crowds, so when I meet the right people at the right place and things just click, its soooo much fun, and I feel the way I feel in this song. I also been listening to a lot of disco music. This song is influenced by modern day pop and the authentic 80s black disco. Did this one with the producer Canto who I worked with a lot before, and we really just vibed it out. I feel so much joy from this song, and I hope you will too!”
