The sun is out and about, and it’s time for some great new music to go along with it!
This week’s Fresh Squeeze artist We the Commas are a San Diego-based trio featuring brothers Lenny, Jordy, and Cam. On Friday, the guys released their first official single “Sherry”, which provides a chill, relaxing vibe that’ll make you want to go straight to the beach! They describe their sound as “Surf Alternative R&B,” and draw inspiration from the likes of John Mayer, The Beach Boys, Frank Ocean, and many more.
Speaking of the beach, Lenny, Jordy, and Cam are all surfers – and they’ve even built their own boards! As black men, the brothers are on a mission to fight stereotypes and change the narrative of what society thinks they should look like, sound like, and act like.
