Making a music video inside of a van in motion seems lit, right? Well Nightly did just that!
The Nashville-based trio just dropped the music video for their latest single “you should probably just hang up,” and proved that sometimes less is really more. Directed by Zach Pigg, Nightly can be found riding and performing inside of a huge van. No flashy effects, no intricate sets, just three guys having a good time jumping around inside a van!
In a recent interview, vocalist Jonathan Capeci shared, “The idea for the video came from a nightmare Joey had of having to rehearse on the way to a show because we were running late. Since we can’t tour and play shows at the moment, it just felt right to get in the back of a van and jump around for a few hours.”
Nightly released “you should probably just hang up” last month, and was inspired by a friend’s failing relationship. It was recorded in Joey’s basement while the members were in quarantine.
