Growing up in North London, Mae Muller had always loved music, but didn’t really consider pursuing it as a career until a few years ago. As a matter of fact, she wrote her first song, “Close,” two years ago! It all went up from there. Through her music, Mae is letting women and young girls everywhere know that they are not alone.

The original version of “I Don’t Want Your Money” was released last month, and was produced by Jimmy Napes (Sam Smith, Khalid, Alicia Keys.) Speaking about what inspired the track, she explains, “I wrote ‘I Don’t Want Your Money’ just under 2 years ago now, and I’m so happy it’s finally out! I just wanted to show that there are other ways to be treated, rather than just materialistically, especially if you make your own money! I’m financially independent so you have to find other ways to impress me, I don’t need anything else apart from love and affection. Treat me with respect and we’re GOOD.”

The lyric video for the stripped down version was self-shot while in isolation, and Mae is accompanied by Jimmy Naples on guitar. Check it out below! Also, be sure to say hi to Mae Muller on Instagram @maemuller and Twitter @maemuller_.
