Is being in love as bad as it seems… especially when you try to write songs about it? Well, ask Sarah Barrios!
Today, the singer/songwriter released her new single “Love Songs”, which races through different emotions one experiences while in love. It will get your own heart racing, as the song is loaded with vibrant pop beats to jump along to! Perhaps, love isn’t that bad after all.
Sarah Barrios grew up in Torrington, Connecticut, and was a part of a musical household. Once writing hits for other artists, Sarah is now doing it for herself – and we love to see it!
“I kept trying to write love songs that were cool, but it turns out, love isn’t cool,” Sarah admits. “It’s cheesy and happy and confusing and scary all at the same time. Once I realized that, writing love songs, wasn’t so hard anymore.”
Sarah made an impressive debut in late April with “I Didn’t Mean To”. She followed up with “Mourn The Living”, and now “Love Songs” continues the story – almost like a missing puzzle piece. Sarah said, “I really wanted something fun and upbeat, a song you could dance to in your room to and one that made you feel like the main character in a movie.”
