It’s time to turn on your cell phone flashlights and enjoy a very special moment in time courtesy of The Greeting Committee – right from the safety of your own home!
Today, The Greeting Committee shared a gorgeous performance video for their song “Gold Star,” captured at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City. Playing for a hometown crowd was already special for the band, but they decided to take fan interaction to the next level.
“Since we can’t be on the road and bring you our music in person, we wanted to give you a glimpse of a very special show we played earlier this year,” says The Greeting Committee. “Back in January, we played a sold-out show in our hometown of Kansas City. There we captured a special moment during our song “Gold Star” to close out an already wonderful night. We’re bummed we can’t be in front of everyone right now, but in the meantime, we hope you enjoy this!”
“Gold Star” is featured on The Greeting Committee’s debut album This Is It. A huge recurring theme on the album is the feeling of confusion and shock when transitioning into the young adult years. These feelings can definitely run high due to being in quarantine, but it’s important to remember to catch your breath and remember beauty can still be found in the world right now.
So sit back, relax, and check out the “Gold Star” performance video below!
