When you love something (or someone) so much to the point where you know losing it will completely break you, that’s real love. Am I right, or am I right?
Nashville-based singer/songwriter katie MAC’s brand new single “Till It Hurts” is all about that feeling. It can be a tense topic thinking about what COULD happen if that love gets lost and you never find something like it again, but “Till It Hurts” is very vibrant and upbeat – so there’s no need to fret!
She says, “One thing that I’ve realized is anything real hurts when you lose it. While my newest single, “Till It Hurts” may sound like it’s about heartbreak, it’s actually about finding something that you feel so deeply that you know losing it will be painful. I wrote it when I was worried I would never really *feel* something worth losing again. I think everyone can relate to that feeling of searching for something real, even if it’s risky.”
katie MAC got her hands on a guitar in high school and fell in love with it! She really wanted to pursue a career in music, so she attended Belmont University in Nashville and took full advantage of their songwriting program. She began to release music in her senior year, and has been on a roll ever since then. This fall, katie MAC will be releasing her EP Self Sabotage, so keep an eye out for it!
