Sundays Are For Smiles!

Katy Perry held her very first #SmileSunday livestream today, where she answered tons of fan questions and spilled some exciting news about her upcoming album, Smile!

Joined by her precious pup Nugget and a quick appearance by her fiancé Orlando Bloom, Katy gave fans the 411 on tons of things pertaining to the album, as well as her pregnancy. One of the first things discussed was the album covers. Today, Katy made limited edition versions of Smile with alternate album covers available for purchase. Click here to get yours! There are five new covers to choose from, and are available on CD and vinyl formats.

Katy mentioned in the livestream, “A lot of us listen to music on different streaming platforms, and so when we do actually purchase a physical piece of music, whether its a CD or a vinyl, I think you want it to be a little more special and not just like ‘why would I purchase this hard thing if I could just click a button and listen to a record.’ So, I thought it would be more special if I could sign some CDs and if I could make these exclusive CD and vinyl with new artwork.”

While Katy did not reveal the tracklist for Smile, she did mention that there will be twelve songs on the album. The first song will be “Never Really Over,” and the last will be “What Makes A Woman.” We can also expect tons of new visuals for Smile!

According to Katy, “Pretty much every song has a visual component to it. I got to either make it pre-covid, pre-pregnancy, or during it. Some of them I’m in, some of them are just fun expressions of the song, but there’s going to be something to watch. There’s even going to be a new ‘Harleys In Hawaii’ video and a new ‘Never Really Over’ video. Wooo… doing the most!”

Last week, Katy announced that Smile will now be released on August 28. Even though this is two weeks later than the original date, the wait will be so worth it! Be sure to pre-order and pre-save Smile at katy.to/smile.
