Step right on up, because it’s time to play Katy Perry’s brand new “Smile” music video!
In exactly two weeks from today, Katy will be releasing her fifth studio album, Smile. The countdown is in full swing, and to help everyone get even more excited, Katy rolled out the official music video for the title track.
Fans got an exclusive first look of the music video on Facebook yesterday, making it the first official video premiere with Facebook’s PMV launch. The “Smile” video was directed by Matthew Cullen, who also directed the music videos for “Dark Horse,” “California Gurls,” and “Chained To The Rhythm.”
Last Sunday, Katy revealed that the “Smile” music video would have a video game component to it. As soon as Katy selects her character in the game (which is a “sad clown”) Katy gets transformed into a clown herself! A very glamorous clown, that is.
