Ah, the sweet sound of revenge.
Literally. Meg Smith is making revenge sound pretty great with her new single “Cross My Heart I Hope U Die.” Those feeling of being let down and getting kicked to the curb by someone special can be explosive, and Meg channels them all in an angsty, yet empowering alt-pop anthem!
She says, “I was studying abroad in London when I wrote ‘Cross My Heart I Hope U Die,’ and just felt so out of my comfort zone in this new place. It came to a point where I decided to totally forget all my preconceived notions about what my music should sound like. So I went into the session and I was like ‘Today I want to write the spookiest song ever.’”
Meg Smith recently returned from a five month stay in Europe, writing her debut EP. While traveling to cities like London, Paris, and Amsterdam, she was inspired by the amusement as well as discomfort she felt being alone in such places. “American In Paris,” the EP, arrives on September 4!
Meg has also been donating 100% of her streaming revenue for the remainder of 2020 to The Okra Project, so get streaming “Cross My Heart I Hope U Die”!
