The summer is actually far from being over… and KELLA is proving it with her new single “Boys Like You.”
The LA-based singer/songwriter’s newest track is packed with light-hearted melodies and describes letting yourself fall in love with someone, even if you originally told yourself nope. Never happening.
“I’ve been in my fair share of failed relationships in the past,” KELLA confesses. “When I finally met a guy who checked all the boxes, it felt too good to be true. Everything inside of me wanted to run away, but I couldn’t. It was terrifying but was the most freeing experience of my life. To just let go of preconceived notions and let myself fall in love.”
KELLA was born in central Florida, and found inspiration in the classic pop sounds produced by Max Martin. She spent time perfecting her craft in Nashville and London, but eventually found herself in Stockholm developing her sound. Last year, KELLA released 4 singles and received over 4 million streams. “Boys Like You” follows “Hurt Like Me,” which was released last month. And of course, there’s more to come!
