MAX Gets The Job Done With ‘Working For The Weekend’ Music Video

If the week being almost over isn’t enough of a reason to rejoice, MAX’s new music video for his latest single “Working For The Weekend” (feat. bbno$) sure is!

The brand new visual offers a quick (and needed) escape from that daily grind that can surely be tiresome. MAX released “Working For The Weekend” last Friday, and is the latest single off his forthcoming album Colour Vision.

“Working For The Weekend” was produced by MAX’s close friends that we all know and love, AJR! He shared, “I’ve been friends and have toured with AJR for years. We’ve been in the trenches together and fighting for our dreams for a long time through a ton of ups and downs. It’s been amazing to root for each other and watch each other grow, including them doing a song with me on my last album called ‘Home.’ We wrote ‘Working For The Weekend’ together as an ode and love song to hard work.

MAX was also joined by another one of his dear friends, bbno$, on the song. MAX said, “I asked my friend bbno$, who’s also a hard-core hustler, to add his story to the song and we went back and forth on his verse on a Saturday (when we were both supposed to be taking a day off) until it was perfect. The irony is beautiful. It’s the late nights, the early mornings, the never being able to turn it off and constantly thinking of ways to grow when you’re doing what you’re the most passionate about.

The song and music video are a job well done, and I know the same will be said about Colour Vision when it drops on September 18! The highly anticipated album will feature twelve tracks, including previously released singles “Love Me Less” with Quinn XCII, “Missed Calls” with Hayley Kiyoko, and “Checklist” with Chromeo. And of course, Colour Vision will also include the one track we’ve been waiting for… “Blueberry Eyes,” MAX’s brand new collaboration with Suga of BTS!
