MAX Dropped The Music Video For ‘Blueberry Eyes’ feat. Suga And…

The award for the cutest music video I’ve seen in a hot minute goes to… well, you already know. That’s why you’re here. If you don’t know, you’re about to know!

MAX just released the official music video for his HIGHLY anticipated collaboration with Suga of BTS, “Blueberry Eyes.” Although we all know MAX and Suga have worked together in the past, MAX had been teasing this specific collaboration for quite some time.

Today, it was time to give the people what they wanted! MAX’s new album Colour Vision is set for release this Friday, but he decided to give us a look (and taste) of those “Blueberry Eyes” three days before the full project drops.

The music video shows MAX spending some very precious moments with his actual wife Emily. The two uncover a wedding ring, images of a baby on the way, recite their wedding vows, and have a romantic night in – all in a very bright blue world.

One of the most striking parts of the clip has to be when MAX and Emily lip-synced Suga’s verse in Korean. In an interview with Teen Vogue, MAX revealed that learning the entire verse was no easy task. He said, “I knew it was going to be hard, but really breaking down how to properly pronounce all of the Korean was insane, and it made me have a deeper appreciation for the meaning behind the lyrics and what he put on the song.”

Suga’s contribution to this track is absolutely immaculate. His flow was as smooth as butter, and it complimented the rest of the song so beautifully. Yeah, I clearly haven’t had breakfast yet. Someone please start cooking some blueberry pancakes!

Go ahead and check out “Blueberry Eyes” below!

“Bringing this music video to life has been such a special experience. I wanted it to feel as if Disney magically made a baby with Wes Anderson in the world of Colour Vision with every bit of our souls intertwined. Emily is my actual wife and she is really pregnant right now with our first child, so art imitates life in a fun way with this video. We studied and memorized all of the Korean lyrics to Suga’s incredible and romantic verse and all of the blueberries in the bathtub ended up being reused to create limited edition blueberry dyed blueberry eyes shirts. This video is a piece of our hearts and I hope it sparks the same magic in you viewing it as it did for us creating it. Thank you to Suga for being so brilliant on this song and more importantly for being a wonderful friend. Much love.” – MAX
