YUNGBLUD Announces THE WEIRD TIME OF LIFE TOUR

While in-person concerts have been on hold since March, many artists have turned to live streaming as a way to keep being able to play for their loving fans. Virtual tours have become a part of the new norm, and every fan in attendance gets a front row seat to watch the action right from the safety and comfort of their own homes!

Now, YUNGBLUD is getting in on the virtual touring fun with newly announced “The Weird Time of Life Tour.” The shows will kick off on November 16 in London, and each date and city will have its own unique localized experience. Tickets will cost $5, and each show will have a full-scale production.

“the thing i miss about playin shows is the individuality of every night,” YUNGBLUD says. “the different faces, the different energy, but most of all the different cultures. our community may be from different parts of the world yet we have similar beliefs, it  is incredible. i wanted to do a show for as many cities as i could, playing songs off my new album for the first time. this album helped me so much and i wanted to bring it to the fans with all the energy, all the passion, all the love and all the fucking rage that went into it. just because we can’t touch each other, doesn’t mean we can’t feel each other. ill see you in your city.”

So… how does a virtual tour even work? YUNGBLUD took to Twitter to break it down for everyone.

Tickets for all shows will go on sale this Friday, October 2 at 9AM PDT. For shows taking place (virtually!) in Australia, Europe, and the UK, there will be a special presale taking place on Thursday at 1PM BST. To gain access, pre-order YUNGBLUD’s new album WEIRD! on his website prior to Thursday at 9:30AM BST.

As for North American shows and the rest of the world, pre-ordering the album will grant you a link to the general onsale.

And of course, you’ll be able to hear tons of songs from WEIRD! Just a few days ago, YUNGBLUD released the music video for his latest single “god save me, but don’t drown me out.”

Warning: Pills, implied suicide note at 1:14

YUNGBLUD shared, “this video is for anyone laying in their bedroom at 4am wondering why they aren’t good enough. i wanted to paint a picture of what depression really feels like, where everyone can be screaming at you, but you just can’t hear anything at all. i wanted this video to ignite a resemblance or a spark of self-love to highlight the idea that if you ever feel like you can’t go on, it can get better. you are brilliant, you are an individual and there has only ever been one you and there will only ever be one of you. i loved making this video, it’s my directorial debut with my partner in crime Gavin Gottlich. im excited and i hope it helps people. everyone has their own inner teddy bear, all you gotta do is just let it out. it might just save your life.”
