2020 has been a long year, and one might even say time has been moving slow like a “Snail.” But, BENEE has been serving us the bops we need to get through our days, and today she’s back with her new single “Plain” feat. Lily Allen & Flo Milli!

“Plain” is a song meant to empower listeners even in the stickiest of situations, including when your ex gets a new partner. BENEE shares, “I wanted to make it a song someone could listen to when they find out their ex is with someone new. The feeling sucks, so I wanted ‘Plain’ to make ya feel like you have the upper hand. Lily and Flo Milli both have such cool sass, and both their verses really elevated the track!”

The track arrives just two weeks before the release of BENEE’s highly anticipated debut album Hey u x. The album will feature exciting collaborations from Grimes, Gus Dapperton, Mallrat, Kenny Beats, Bakar, and Muroki. Of course, Hey u x will include BENEE’s inescapable hit single “Supalonely” feat. Gus Dapperton, which has amassed over 2.1 billion streams worldwide!

And if that isn’t enough excitement for the month, BENEE also launched her own record label ‘Olive’ in New Zealand! Her very first signing is Muroki, a 19-year-old artist from Raglan, New Zealand. Muroki will be joining BENEE on her sold out arena tour in New Zealand.
