Hold up just a second, because Jordan Suaste has a new bop for you!
Following his breakout hit “Body,” which has now raked in over 40 million global streams, Jordan is back to let out his feelings in the form of a song with his new single “Patience.” Because let’s be honest here… being there for another person can be a job, and it’s not hard to lose your patience in the process.
“‘Patience’ was really an ‘in the moment’ type of song,” Jordan says. “The vocals are all from the first take and we weren’t super stressed about anything when writing it, we just were all trying to experiment and have fun. The song is essentially just about being over someone’s bullshit and we found a really fun way to express that.”
Jordan Suaste might be a new face in the pop landscape, but he’s already on a roll. The 19-year-old singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist has quickly grown a very tight-knit following thanks to his DIY-produced tracks and his deeply honest lyrics.
We looooove some truth.
Jordan dropped out of school when he was 16, and soon started posting some of his own original songs on Instagram. He linked up with musician/pianist Jake Ostler and his friend Jaxon Garrick, who is a self-taught producer. The two helped Jordan create “Hookup Culture,” a song that broke down the hinges of the toxicity that lies within modern dating. The track was released in May 2020, and two weeks later, Jordan released “Body” and saw his audience grow right before his eyes. Jordan gained over 50,000 subscribers in just over a month, and surpassed 500k TikTok followers.
As Jordan continues to work on more music, you can be sure that this adventure is barely getting started. Just be patient!
