We all need moments away from being the center of attention. glaive has a new song for you to enjoy today, especially during those times!
glaive is a 15-year-old singer, songwriter, and producer based in North Carolina. He got started making music at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic earlier this year, and released his first song on Soundcloud in April. He’s been rolling out tracks since then, and has already gained a steady following.
“I wrote ‘eyesore’ after a really long day and I just felt like I wanted the world to stop looking at me,” glaive says. “I locked the door to my room and stared at the ceiling for a bit then I wrote the song. I feel like everyone has felt like an eyesore or wanted people to look away at some point in their life. This feeling made me realize that time to yourself is needed in a world where we are almost constantly stimulated, you need to look after the number one bossman, yourself.”
glaive’s debut EP Cypress Grove arrives next Friday, November 20. Until then, listen to “eyesore” below!
