Before the year ends, Lost Kings had to drop another banger! The EDM duo teamed up with Destiny Rogers for their adrenaline-filled “Runaway.”
“When we started this record we were in palm springs quarantining and just working on music,” says Lost Kings. “We’ve wanted to work with Destiny Rogers for a while so when she sent the idea for “Runaway” we were stoked. She has such a distinct vibe and sound we wanted to match that with the production. We thought giving the groove of a Miami bass feel while using the guitar to highlight her voice would be a great combo and are so happy with how this record turned out.”
Destiny Rogers learned how to play the guitar at the age of 10, and then quickly took up singing too! After busking in the streets of LA for a few years, she got connected to members of the Grammy-Award winning songwriter/producer team The Stereotypes. She was signed to their label Beach Wave Sound in 2018, and has since been creating her own hip-hop/R&B infused pop bangers.
“‘Runaway’ is about having that special person,” Destiny says of the track. “The one that you would literally do anything for, even if they dared you to run away, you would do it. Lost Kings really killed this track and I’m so happy to be a part of it with them! Hope you all love it!”
Over the past few months, Lost Kings have been rolling out singles such as “Hurt” feat. DeathbyRomy, “Oops” feat. Ty Dolla $ign and GASHI, and “Mountains” feat. MASN. All three of these tracks have scooped up over 8 million streams worldwide, and will be featured on the guys’ upcoming EP alongside “Runaway.”
