LA is a city that can make or break you. It’s also a state of mind that many people can get WAY too caught up in, and if anyone can say amen to that, it’s probably ASTN.
Born Austin Sanders, ASTN’s world has revolved around music since his childhood. At the age of three, ASTN picked up drumming, and eventually went into playing the guitar, piano, singing, and music production. ASTN moved around different states in the south during his childhood, and his interest in genres like Jazz and R&B flourished!
Now in LA, ASTN decided to tie it all together into his brand of pop music. In 2017, he released his debut project Tell Your Friends. As ASTN’s fanbase grew, so did his catalog, and his horizons.
ASTN released his latest single “LA Don’t Look Good On U” last November, and it landed him some slots on Spotify and Apple Music’s editorial playlists. It’s the first song ASTN wrote after moving to Los Angeles, and describes the perception he had on the city prior to relocating there. He says, “I’ve lived here long enough now to know that this city doesn’t change everyone, but it definitely swallows many.” ASTN conveys this message even further in the official music video for the track, which was released today.
