Whether it’s boys from “real life” or boys from a band, let’s face it – we’ve ALL cried over a boy at some point. It’s completely normal, I mean crying is a very healthy way to let your emotions out.
But for some people, it becomes a personality trait. No one wants to be the bearer of bad news, but sometimes you just know your friends (or maybe even you yourself) need a reality check. Why cry over someone who doesn’t even know you’re crying over them?
If someone comes to mind right away, you might want to share Alexander 23’s new song “Cry Over Boys” with them. It’s his first single of 2021, and premiered as Zane Lowe’s “World Record” on Beats 1.
Alexander says, “This song is about a loop I think a lot of people are stuck in. Romanticizing romance at the cost of their own sustainable happiness. I hope it can help people break out of that cycle.”
Let’s cry together over “Cry Over Boys,” shall we? Listen below, and check out the music video directed by Stefan Kohli too!
Wait, but wouldn’t that mean I’m crying over a boy too? Well, over a boy’s music?
