Angelina Jordan was born to sing, and got started doing just that when she was barely a year old. Throughout her early childhood, Angelina immersed herself in the sounds of jazz legends such as Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and Louis Armstrong. Then at the age of seven, Angelina auditioned for Norway’s Got Talent, wowing the judges with her rendition of “Gloomy Sunday” by Billie Holiday.
In that very moment, Angelina showed the world that she has a voice that can reach into the deepest parts of one’s soul. After a series of touching performances, Angelina went on to win the competition.
While many labels and producers sought her out dreaming of the chance to work with her, Angelina wanted to operate at her own pace. Over the years, she’s performed at various influential events, such as the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony, Stockholm’s Brilliant Minds 2015, and more. Angelina has also received over half a million YouTube views, and almost 2 billion Facebook views.
As soon as you hear Angelina’s voice, you’ll know she’s unstoppable. Now 15-years-old, Angelina is making even bigger moves! In November 2020, she made her major label debut, linking up with Republic Records to release “Million Miles.” The heartfelt song was written about Angelina’s own experience with grief. She shared, “I wrote this song thinking about all the great memories I had with my grandpa and how much it hurts to lose someone. This song is very personal to me, because I had never felt the feeling of losing someone before I wrote this.”
Today, Angelina released the official music video for “Million Miles,” which adds another layer of depth to the story. Many of us might be missing loved ones right now as well, but let it be a reminder that you are never truly alone.
