We could all use some good news today, am I right? Thankfully, PRICIE has us covered, because her funky, delightful debut single is “too dang good.”
Literally. The song is titled “too dang good,” and it’s a song that actually lives up to its name!
PRICIE was born in Nigeria, and was introduced to a wide variety of musical styles at a very young age. She took up an interest in poetry, and this eventually led to her becoming a songwriter. It was also a way for her to improve her English when she moved to Australia. PRICIE has found inspiration all around her, especially in Sydney’s poetry scene and in her home of Melbourne. She’s currently gearing up to release tons of music over the next 12 months, and today she’s starting out with “too dang good.”
“too dang good” came to life in a studio session with Melbourne-based Lucianblomkamp, and was a total last-minute idea. PRICIE admitted, “We honestly didn’t expect to make anything, but myself and Lucian literally just vibed each other and decided to jam. As he made a beat I began to freestyle on it and ‘too dang good’ was born.”
With “too dang good,” PRICIE wants to make it clear that it’s okay to put your foot down and have no time for nonsense. She says that “the message is for women to know their worth and understand that although some things may transpire within their relationship, they’re just way too dang good for it.”
