Abner and Harper James, also known as Eighty Ninety, have been in the studio preparing tons of new tunes for 2021! “Forever” is first up.
I want you to close your eyes for a second. Well, not just yet, or else you won’t be able to read the rest of this. But when you do, picture yourself at a mall food court on an early Saturday afternoon in the 90’s. You’re surrounded by a few friends, and you’re all sipping some delicious Orange Julius. “Forever” is a song that completely fits that image… try it out!
That’s one of the things you just have to love about Eighty Ninety. You know you’ll always be in for a good vibe. The duo says that “Forever” is all about “reconciling the desire to be with the person you love with the understanding that they don’t feel the same way anymore. It’s like a daydream in a song — what if we were in love again?”
“Forever” will be featured on Eighty Ninety’s sophomore EP, which is set to be released later this year. Abner and Harper teamed up with Grammy-nominated producer Gian Stone (Maroon 5, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Halsey, Dua Lipa) for the project, which will also include “Better As Friends” and “Happier.” Be on the lookout for it!
