Wrap Yourself In Dylan Fraser’s ‘Gucci Sweater’ Today!

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been doing some serious pre-spring cleaning. Tons of room in my closet has now been freed up, but every time I do such a thing, the question as old as time comes up. Does money actually buy happiness?

As I write this, I’m staring at a huge stash of makeup that I can’t exactly say I use anymore. Of course, I’ve been rocking the “just got out of bed” look almost every day since the pandemic started. But even before that, I just can’t say these Kylie Jenner liquid lipsticks or colorful NYX mascara sticks were being put to good use. The excitement of ordering these items and using them for the first time was so real – but after that, the feeling faded away very quickly.

Well, you know how it goes… and Dylan Fraser does too. His new single “Gucci Sweater” is all about those feelings, and a tasty reminder that you can’t put a price tag on true happiness and love.

Dylan Fraser was born and raised in the Scottish town of Bathgate, with his musical ambitions sprouting as a child. His first guitar happened to be a hand-me-down from his mom, who taught him how to play a few chords. At twelve years old, Dylan was just playing in his bedroom, re-imagining the songs of many of his favorite artists. Fast forward six years, Dylan released his debut single “Vipers” via Atlantic Records, which landed on the FIFA 21 Official Soundtrack.

Now that, my friends, is what you call a glo-up!

After releasing his debut EP The Storm last year, Dylan is ready to show the world so much more of what he has in store.

“I had the lyric ‘you can still cry in that Gucci Sweater’ in my notes on my phone for so long before I actually wrote the song,” Dylan admits. “I had to make sense of it in my head. It’s about materialism and how we tend to idolize luxury and wealth as if it somehow makes you happier or better than others, which is just so far from the truth. I think it’s about being able to separate real emotions from material items. Of course, we all love nice things but that’s temporary happiness. You can’t buy the real thing.”

While I don’t personally own any Gucci sweaters, this is a song that definitely knows how to keep me warm. I’ve been obsessed! Join me by checking out “Gucci Sweater” below.
