Goldilocks spent way too long trying to find things that were just right for her, and well… we all know how that ended. So if you’re currently scrolling through your phone in search of an album to listen to that would be just right, look no further than Wonho’s Love Synonym #2: Right for Us!

Last September, Wonho officially kicked off his solo career by releasing his first mini album, Love Synonym #1: Right For Me. It was met with a fast ride to the top spot of the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart, alongside a hefty serving of critical acclaim. Of course, it was also a moment Wonho’s devoted fans from all over the world – officially named Wenee (for We Are Never Ending) had been eagerly awaiting. After departing Monsta X in late 2019, Wenee made the commitment to support Wonho’s solo endeavors through thick and thin.

It’s something to take pride in, and the release of Love Synonym #2: Right for Us is yet another reason to be proud.

It all starts with “Lose,” the story of someone who overcame the trauma of parting ways with someone, and is simply trying to move on. The concept might seem grim, but it’s part of the human struggle.

All of a sudden, you’ll find yourself in the steamy escape that is “Devil.” Let your mind run wild with this one, and you might just find yourself in an artificial dream!

Eventually, I’d feel compelled to tell you to snap out of it – but there’s probably a better person in mind to save those words for. If there’s a “most annoying personality traits” list floating out in the universe somewhere, I wouldn’t be surprised if “people who make everything about themselves, especially in a relationship” holds one of the top spots.

Some people just need to be told it’s not always about them, and “Ain’t About You” is the perfect song to help smack some sense into them! The track is an addicting duet with multi-platinum singer/songwriter KIIARA, making it Wonho’s very first duet with a Western artist.

Things get quite emotional on “WENEED” and “Flash,” so having some tissues on hand might not be a bad idea at all. “WENEED” is a song Wonho dedicates to all of his fans for their unconditional love and support, despite not being able to see one another in person at the moment. As Wenee has promised they will be here for Wonho, he reciprocates the promise to them as he sings: “Even in the darkest times. You were the one pulling me through….When I’m back on the stage. Can you wave your hands again. This song’s for you. Can you sing it along.”

In “Flash,” Wonho describes the pain of having to let someone go, comparing the love they offered to a beam of light from a lighthouse. Their personality was bright enough to be a guide in the dark, and it’s a prescience that is deeply missed.

I’d certainly be remiss if I didn’t mention my favorite song, “BEST SHOT,” which is also the ultimate pick-me-up! It’s flirty, fun, and full of throwback vibes. Wonho knows you’re about to go crazy for him, and on “BEST SHOT” he wants you to show him what you’ve got!
