Maja Kristina Makes Her Mark With Debut EP

Could you use some fresh, juicy, pop anthems to gush over today? Or maybe, some self-love therapy? In Maja Kristina‘s world, these two forces go hand in and, and she’s extending that hand to you today by releasing her debut EP!

The Swedish singer’s journey started when she was just a kid. Growing up in Stockholm, Maja Kristina’s father was an in-demand songwriter, which led to her writing her own songs too. At the age of seven, Maja had written her first song, and turned to playing the guitar and piano soon after.

Fast forward ten years, Maja Kristina released her first single “No Fake Love.” Her follow up single “Idiot” was centered around self-love after departing a relationship, and has raked up over 656k streams on Spotify.

A series of even more singles followed, including “The Idea Of Me,” “Imma Show U,” and her own rendition of The Pointer Sisters’ “Slow Hand.” Each of Maja Kristina’s creations has included a generous dose of empowerment, and a smooth listening experience. (Seriously, her voice is so smooth, perhaps even more smooth than a smooth operator.)

Anticipation for her debut EP has been building with each release, and now it’s time to dive in! Maja Kristina says, “This EP represents a pick of the brain, a look inside my feelings and thoughts – the heartbreaks and the butterflies, the highs and the lows; and a collection of my work so far as an artist.”

The self-titled effort kicks off with “Jessica,” a song about warning her ex’s new girl and being open to the idea of even befriending her. (Girls, you know we all have to stick together!) “Jessica” was produced by GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Dan Nigro, who has worked with artists like Oliva Rodrigo and Conan Gray. Maja also linked up with Max Martin’s MXM Team and Rami Yacoub for “Walls.”

Maja Kristina’s sound is chill, refreshing, and will always leave you in a good mood. We could all use some of that today, so check out Maja Kristina below!
