Don’t you ever get tired of carrying unnecessary weight? We’re all lugging some kind of baggage around, and some of us might even be carrying someone else’s baggage!
Seriously, who even has time for that? Certainly not Rachel McIntyre Smith. With her new single “Baggage,” she hopes to encourage us all to give ourselves some well-deserved relief.
Rachel McIntyre Smith grew up in the small town of Oliver Springs, Tennessee, and learned how to play the piano when she was nine years old. Although the original intent was to be able to challenge a classroom rival, Rachel found herself continuing to make music! She’s been doing it ever since, and is in total control of her artistry and brand. Rachel writes her own music, edits her social media videos and posts herself, and even designs her own merchandise. At the beginning of last year, Rachel launched her own tour called The Kitten Coma Tour, performing at cat cafes and raising money for feline rescue. While the pandemic cut the tour short, Rachel went right back to the studio, and released “High School Reunion” later in the year.
Everything you see and hear is authentically Rachel, and we wouldn’t want it any other way! She’s leaving her own trail of glitter across the country landscape, and “Baggage” gives everyone yet another reason to direct their attention to her. Rachel says, “The whole point of ‘Baggage’ is to not let others define you by your negative experiences. We all have baggage- so none of us should be casting any stones.
