A huge “Astral Storm” made its way into Whispering Pines, but it blew in two HUGE treats from Lord Huron!
On last night’s episode of Alive From Whispering Pines, Tubbs Tarbell shared some of the struggles of being snowed into his studio. Of course, he tried to make the best of it. Besides answering calls from viewers, Tubbs had been tidying up around the building, brushing up his hats, doing some oil painting, and even embroidering!
Storm or no storm though, the Lord Huron boys were ready to fire up some tunes. Eventually the storm did clear, and the show headed outdoors to the forest! Very cozy renditions of “The Ghost On The Shore,” “Way Out There,” and “The Night We Met” were performed.
(Tubbs actually fell asleep after “The Night We Met.” Perhaps it was the melodies from the harp in this version? It was so dreamy, so hey – Tubbs, we’ll cut you some slack here.)
But while Tubbs spent time in the forest, he kept looking out into the distance. He must have seen Lord Huron’s new single “Mine Forever” coming, as well as the official announcement of their new album Long Lost!
“Mine Forever” was teased during last month’s installment of Alive From Whispering Pines. It was stuck in my head for days, and it was one of those songs I felt just *needed* to be released ASAP so I could listen to it over and over again. Well, it’s here now, and Long Lost will definitely be played over and over again when it drops on May 21.
