For the past two months, Nick Isham has rolled out two new tracks… and he wasn’t going to let March slip away without doing it again! This time, he’s packaging it all together with a new EP a piece of me pt. 3.
The six track EP is a collection of songs that offer different looks and anecdotes of Nick’s life. Five are about his love life and experiences with dating, and one is about embracing the obstacles he’s faced and overcame. He says, “All six of these songs are a reflection of my life and have a deep meaning to me. My hope is that these songs are able to resonate and really connect with the listeners in some way, as they do in a big way for me.”
Back in January, Nick released “Burned Out” and “Just Do It.” Then in February, he released “In The Jungle” and “Where Are You Now.” a piece of me pt. 3 introduces listeners to “Feel Something Real,” a song surrounding feelings of disconnect while trying to connect with others on a deeper level. Nick shared, “I wrote this song with Jake and Sydney Saghi out in Nashville late 2020. I was talking to them about how even though I was going on dates and meeting new people, there were no real connections – and that is really all that I have wanted – to meet someone and honestly ‘feel something real.’
The project also introduces listeners to “hopeless romantic,” a story that lives up to its title. “Plain and simple, I have always been a hopeless romantic,” Nick confessed. “I wrote this song with Trevor Douglas – about me sitting at a restaurant, seeing a beautiful woman, and picturing what it would be like to be with her – and being mad at myself for not actually making a move in time before she left… leaving me there alone, as a hopeless romantic.”
There’s a lot to uncover here, so get listening to a piece of me pt. 3 now!
